MHS Daily Announcements 9-19-2019

STUDENTS:
Drama Club will meet on Monday, September 23rd at 2:30 p.m. in room 105.

Bus evacuations will be September 17th and 18th. Your bus will be approximately 10-15 minutes behind schedule for the afternoon drop off.

Attention:  Fall Picture day has been moved to Thursday, September 19th!  All students in grades 6-12 will have their pictures taken on September 19th.

Cedar Point savings coupons are available in the Student Services Office for weekends in September.

Any grades 7-12, not in a fall sport, interested in boys basketball weight room and skill workouts need to sign up in student services this week.  

Do you need community service hours? Grace Lutheran Church (the red brick church across from the BP Station) could use volunteers at their food pantry on Saturday, Sept. 21st from 9:00 until noon.

MIDDLE SCHOOL:
8th graders please tell your parents to start watching for a section on the school website that will have a Washington DC page for all information.

HIGH SCHOOL:
The first high school yearbook meeting will be Wednesday, September 25th from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 212 (Mrs. Meyers). Anyone interested in being on this year's yearbook staff should attend.  If you can not attend, please stop by and talk with Mrs. Meyers.

Any Junior who is interested in taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test can sign up to do so in the Student Services office. The test will be given on Wednesday, October 16th starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Townsend Community School. There is a fee of $14.00 to take this test. The fee must be paid prior to the day of the testing and is non refundable.

SADD will be helping this Saturday at the Alzheimer's Walk at Shoreline Park (by Sandusky Yacht Club). Working from 8-10:30 a.m. See Mrs. Miller is you want to join SADD and are able to help Saturday.

National Honor Society candidates:  Please remember to turn in your completed activity form and a letter of reference by Friday, September 20th.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Bonnigson.

FRESHMEN:  On October 9th Mr. Miller and Mrs. Lott will be taking the freshmen to EHOVE Career Center for a manufacturing career exploration opportunity.  You will leave the high school at 9:45 a.m. and return shortly after noon.  Upon arrival back you will go to lunch.

SENIORS:
There will be an important Senior Information Assembly on September 25th during 11th period in the cafeteria. At this meeting you will receive information that you will need to know for your senior year including, college visits, scholarships, financial aid and much, much more. Please stop into Student Services to sign the clipboard to attend.

Terra State Community College will be hosting the Sandusky County College Night Monday, September 30th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. More than 70 college and university representatives will be in attendance to answer your questions. For additional information please see the flyer on the senior board.

Many of you will be using your college visit days soon.  If you will be out for the day for a visit, please stop by Student Services to sign the clipboard and get the paperwork needed to be absent.  You are allowed 3 days of absence for college visits.

Oct. 22nd - University of Toledo - 3rd period
