Margaretta Transportation

Responsibility Transporting children is a shared responsibility between home and school. The district is responsible for children once they have boarded the bus. Families are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children to and from the designated stop.

Parents are asked to please check book bag straps to make sure they are secure. Check jackets for long drawstrings that could get caught in door handels.

Did you know.....

  • there are currently 21 bus routes?
  • the fleet covers 144 sq. miles twice a day?
  • we also provide transportation services for our students to Sandusky Central Catholic Shools, Eove Career Center and 2 special needs routes that cover Townsend School, Perkins, Sandusky and Venice Heights?
  • bus drivers receive mandatory inservices every year and get recertified every 6 years?
  • Bus driver certification includes a 4-part written test, Physical exam, federal and state background check, driver abstract (monitored nightly through the state of Ohio), 15 hours of classroom training, 30 to 40 hours of on-bus instruction and a 2-part driving test.
