Scott Gast Memorial Website

The Scott-Gast.com website is dedicated to the memory and lasting legacy of Margaretta graduate, Scott Gast. This site went live, April 13th, in honor of Scott's birthday.

This site is for everyone who knew and loved Scott to share stories, fond memories and funny moments. Scott touched hundreds of lives by being a friend, musician, banker and more but regardless of the "role" he played, he always stayed true to himself. He was genuine with everyone he met and this is why people enjoyed being around him. Please take a few moments to visit this page to celebrate Scott's life.

If you have a special story about Scott, please submit your memories here. Scott always seemed focused on the positive and he would want us to do the same. These wonderful stories are a source of healing and comfort. Please visit his website, click on "Special Memories" and write away!

To donate to the Scott Gast MHS Scholarship fund, please make a check payable to: Margaretta Local Schools. Indicate that it is for the "Scott Gast Scholarship" on the check's memo link and mail it to Margaretta Local Schools, 305 South Washington St, Castalia, OH 44824.

Thank you for sharing and supporting the memory of Scott Gast.

One School, One Book

OSOB logo w boarder

Starting May 1st, our school will be embarking on a special project, a community-wide book club called One School, One Book™. Every family will receive a copy of the same book – The World According to Humphrey, by Betty G. Birney – and will be asked to read it together at home over the next few weeks. We are personally asking parents to make the time so that every family can participate in this special activity. Be sure to check out the live chapter readings and questions on this page. Don’t forget to visit our participating area businesses.

Thank you to Martha Holden Jennings Grant Foundation who helped to make One School, One Book a possibility!
